One day after we told her about this series of maps, our friend Susana excitedly called us to tell us to get to the corner of Buffalo Speedway and South Main where The Ranch was being torn down. After we photographed it and began making the map we learned two things: 1. The Ranch was the largest lesbian bar in the country in the 90s. 2. It had been torn down about 10 years ago, a couple of blocks north of where Susana thought it had been, to make way for townhouses.
