The North Platte River
The North Platte River
Charcoal Powder And Wind On Paper
62"x312" (framed)

This drawing is based on a still from a video we took of themselves walking along the banks of the North Platte River near Casper, Wyoming while retracing an 1843 journey led by the gay couple William Drummond Stewart and Antoine Clement. The experience of walking along the Platte this morning and the deep shift we felt in our understanding of Wyoming’s landscape as a potentially queer space led us to launch our “50 States Project”.
