The video is projected onto a two-way mirror sculpture, creating an etherial refraction of the image. The sculpture is a light-handed reference to the great Oklahoma architect, Bruce Goff, who was fired from his position at the University of Oklahoma in 1955 for being homosexual. In 1949 he proposed a “Crystal Chapel” to be the university’s student religion center. Frank Gehry later wrote that had the building been built it “would have been the purest, most elegant embodiment of the metal and glass “Crystal Palace” fantasies that captivated architects from the nineteenth century onward.”
